Rang in the New Year in Ocotillo Wells with my Nick and his family. We played with fireworks. We lit a Christmas tree on fire. We had desert adventures. We were merry.

Then came Winter Banquet... with all its random Willy Wonka-ishness.

Coco and I had a few destructive adventures. Like the iPod.

Somewhere in February there was a Dodgeball Tournament at school. I've never seen such a combination of spandex, matching t-shirts, and good laughs all at once.

In March I went to Tanzania, Africa with this group of beautiful people. It still feels surreal. And like it was such a long time ago.

After Africa, there was Junior year's best and greatest event- a tribute to Mark Twain and his wonderful Huck Finn.

We celebrated the last of the drives down to my car.

I celebrated my love's 18th birthday. That dinner didn't quite come out right.... but it was fun.

And then we celebrated again.

Then there was Sadie Hawkins. A good step up from 2006's Sadie Hawkins. Same wonderful boy of course... just a slightly different ability to kiss and hug him.

My favorite picture in the entire world was taken in 2007 too. It's what best friends are for.

In 2007 I got my first car. I also watched it die and had to part with it.

May 16th, after what seemed more like weeks, Nick and I hit our first anniversary together.

Another banquet- the fabulous Jr./Sr. We are a pretty cute couple if you ask me.

My amazing plane buddy handed me my scroll. 2008 will mean me handing one of my Junior loves one of their own.

Nick and I got an early start on summer days down by the lake. There is nothing like feeding gummy bears to the ducks and just snuggling in the sun.

I said goodbye to my yearbook staff. Was crowned future go-editor with the lovely Jenna... yet that fell apart due to scheduling issues later in the year.

I watched this handsome boy graduate and leave high school.

I cried a bit. It still gets me sometimes.

Celebrated a certain giant's completion of the Boy Scouts.

Went hiking several times with Nick. It was an excellent way to start summer.

Got a newer old car. And proceeded to injure it shortly thereafter.

And of course, bought some red duct tape... and "fixed it"

Made some fridge art at Andrea's old place. Took a tour of B.I.P. Fell in love. Fell in confusion.

Took a road trip of craziness. Ahh, I love her.

Went for rides in the country in my favorite white truck.

Visited Sea World for the first time in years and years. Had some fun in the Eel enclosure caves.

Nick and I made [and I killed] some interestingly beautiful pancakes while his cousins and grandparents visited. That was an incredible time.

And of course, what every summer requires- the fair.

Beach camping, which included light painting photography and an amazing time.

Probably too much Canasta. It would've been strip poker, but hey... what can I say?

Went to Yearbook camp before I discovered I wouldn't be co-editor. Played a lot of Finger Twister. Ate a lot of stale cheerios we stole from the dinner the night before. Scared a lot of roommates.

Went to Vegas to visit my Nana. Nick came along with my mom and I. It was the last time I got to see my Nana, and I'm glad I went. I'm extremely glad he got to meet her too. It was important to her.

Nick and I caused trouble in restaurants. Like usual.

Had the most incredible birthday celebration in all my 17 years. That crazy boy took me everywhere. Made me breakfast in bed which featured pancakes and my own mix cd. Went miniature golfing. Played air hockey. Saw a movie. Had a bonfire. Went to the drive ins.

I went on my first roller coaster in 2007. Also on my 17th birthday. Nick made it so special... I'll never forget it.

Then celebrated... again. Haha, an amazing dinner with my favorite people on earth.

School started. Senior year commenced with some strange trips.

Hit up some local games with the love and his family. Here's me with the two Striz's

More fireworks of 2007.

I became a member of the school newspaper. And 3 months and 8 days later admitted that it was better than yearbook.

And then came the tougher things. Nick and his family lost their house in the October fires. I can't imagine what they've been through.

I welcomed Nick back from D.C.... I also welcomed Mac Leopard into my life. Had fun standing in line on release day and got some free t-shirts.

Had an interesting Halloween mis-match day at school. Love these girls.

Celebrated the Homecoming Pep Rally as Seniors at last.

Oh football games.... always cold, and always perfect.

My youngest cousin Dylan Bodhi was brought into the world. I haven't gotten to meet him yet, but 2008 will yield such happiness.

Spent Thanksgiving in the desert with Nick and his family again.

Journeyed with our football team to the championships. It was a sad loss, but a great event to experience.

I gained a lot of amazing friends this year. They are the best.

Was shocked as my second to last semester of high school came to an end.

My grandfather had enormous swelling in his head due to several falls. They had to do surgery to put shunts in. Hopefully 2008 will bring quicker healing. What lovely staples...

Decorated my grandparents' house with my uncle and cousins. We all did hospital rotations throughout the holidays.

2007 was tremendous, and I really wish I could say more about it. I will think about it a lot in 2008, so it's not as if I am saying goodbye for good. I hope you all have an amazing New Year's, and I will post again later in 2008.
