Do they think these walls can hide you?

Finally saw Sweeney Todd tonight with Andrea as part of our little farewell evening as she goes back to school tomorrow. Hmm. I'm a fan of special movie effects and all, don't get me wrong... I just didn't know blood could squirt like that. Or gurgle like that, for that matter. There were plenty of cracking noises too. Breaking of bone and neck noises. Some screams. You get the idea. The ending would have made irony-loving Shakespeare jealous himself. 

I will have to admit, however, that some of the songs were pretty fabulous. There's nothing like a good and uplifting tune about what kind of human is in your pie and if he was fat or not. I fell in love with a certain voice in the movie, hehehe...

Anyway, it wasn't a let down, by any means, just simply a little.... not what I expected. Go see it, I promise I ruined nothing for you. Unless you're not a fan of blood. Because when it's squirting at everything so crazily that you're looking down to make sure none got on you, that may be one to affect the squeamish. 

You've gotta love that Tim Burton though. Amazing.
